Looking into LSD using eyes
I see nothing new in her demeanor
she smiles at me the same way
she is in a hurry to come and go
like she always has been.
Part of me says that it is
a right of ritual,
because I did it,
because everyone that I knew
did it,
another part of me
is scared to death.
Will she die,

Quiet time
I forgot to turn off the phone,
last night, when I went to bed.
I forgot to turn the speaker down,
the speaker connected to my computer,
but no one called,
and the music was turned off
before I went to sleep.
Canine Pleasure
The dogs are still asleep
they love the comforter
that used to keep me warm.
It now lays on the floor.
Non-shaving solution
My beard itches
this morning
all I can do
is to scratch it.
No great escape
I'm looking for a getaway
but I've got to stay
close to where I am.
Foolish Youth
When I was young
my fever felt
not strong enough
to slow me down
so I ran around
like a clown
I was getting down
when I should
have been laying down.
Curbing regurgitation
Before I put the food in
I must make sure that
all the poems have come out.
The blood goes from the brain
to the belly, rather fast,
I have learned.
No hanky no spanky
You talked, and I listened, but I soon found
that I didn't believe a word that you had said.
Your smile said a lot to me,
your body talked to me,
but the word was out on you,
and I came to realize that
our behavior is being watched,
and analyzed,
and criticized.
I bet that, once, I had
a bad reputation like you
but I didn't know that some
were giving words to others
on which they could chew.
Achoo, you sneeze and some people
are running to other people
to tell them that you didn't have
a hankie.

"Love is always with you,"

even when you are angry,
even when you are in a funk.

and I am off
again
scribbling
what I hope
are decent
poems
onto
the cyberspace page.
I save my poems
in cyberspace
just in case
the laptop crashes.
I have this blue box
that backs things up
also
so I hope that
I am protected
that the condom
covering my poems
does not burst.
