Looking into LSD using eyes

I see nothing new in her demeanor
she smiles at me the same way
she is in a hurry to come and go
like she always has been.
Part of me says that it is
a right of ritual,
because I did it,
because everyone that I knew
did it,
another part of me
is scared to death.
Will she die,
or lose her mind?
